Squishy McSquisherton!

I'm not sure it's been mentioned how much I love to be touching my people!  I really just love to be next to, on, between, behind or hovering over my people.  I also don't mind my people doing the same to me!  Below are a few examples!

The Mom says my squishing in between her legs or in between her and the kitchen cabinets etc. is one of her most favorite things about me.   She love, love, loves having me close to her (unless I'm getting in her way when she's trying to sweep & mop or she's trying to use the restroom).

Just had to share during this Holiday Season - Keep your family and friends close and always squish next to them!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!  Peace, Love and Laughter!

CRAY, CRAY, CRAZINESS!

Whew!  Have things been wild!  My last post I mentioned I stayed at a puppy sitter, they had the career change named Dan.  Well, The Mom and family were remodeling a home and needed to move by the end of November so I had to go stay with another puppy sitter.

This time there was a career change named Mel and a horse named Rocket.  The horse was interesting!  Big, really BIG!  I was able to to meet Rocket and we came nose to nose sniffing each other.  My sitter said I behaved very well and had great manners when I met Rocket.
The sitter told on me when she gave me back to The Mom.  So I guess I have to come clean.  I over reacted when I saw Mel...I got hyper.  I did settle a little when it came to Mel but I do tend to get excited around other dogs.  They let me chew on Mel's bones and let me tell you, Mel would just stare at me, hard.  I mean if looks could kill.
The puppy sitter was great and I enjoyed my week long stay.  We didn't go many places but I did get to go to the Sandy River and walk around!
Finally The Mom came and got me!  I was a little shocked when we didn't go back to our "Normal" home.  We went to a new place.  I'd been there before but the last time I was there it didn't have any flooring, furniture and there were cabinets everywhere.  The new place is nice, I like it!  It actually has a fireplace and if you remember from a post, several months back, I have a fear of smoke.  However, I haven't even flinched when the fire gets started or stays going.  The puppy sitter also had a fireplace.  I actually like to lay by the fire and gaze at it.  It's so relaxing, I sit there and stare at the flames and daydream about what my life will be like as a Guide Dog.

You also might remember that The Grandma had surgery on her hand.  So I've been with my "other" family since the 6th of November.  Because of that I go to The Boys wrestling tournaments.  I've been to a couple now but the last one wasn't as busy so I was able to go Mat side and watch The Boy do his thang!
Yesterday was my 1 year Birthday!  The Mom and The Girl got me a Beef flavored bone!  OMG, I'm in HEAVEN!  LIKE WHERE HAS THIS BEEN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!
Last night was SO CRAY, CRAY I was exhausted by the time we got home.  The Mom had to take The Grandma to a couple appointments yesterday.  The Grandma had to get the pins taken out of her hand.  Poor Grandma, the pins were so long and it sounded like it hurt her to get em' out.  After that appointment we had to take her to physical therapy.  There they made her a new brace and showed her exercises she needs to do to get her hand working again.  The Grandma was very sad to learn she can't take me back until the end of January.  I miss her and the goof ball, Shaker.

After the appointment and dropping The Grandma off at home, The Girl reminded The Mom that her choir performance was the next day!  The Girl needed a dress to wear so off to The Mall we went!  Ugh...
We went to Sears, H&M, GAP, Macy's & The Food Court.  IT WAS AWFUL!  BORING, ANNOYING, #WORSTFIRSTBIRTHDAYEVER!  Why would they make me suffer through the torture of shopping with WOMEN!
The Mom and I were bored waiting so she starting taking Selfies!
 Finally!  SHE FOUND A DRESS!  #FOUNDTHEONE, #IMSOOVERTHIS, #CANWEGOHOMENOW, #SOGLADIMABOY,

The month of November and start of December have been Cray, Cray!  I don't think things are going to slow down anytime soon but I'm lovin' life and things are looking good!  I've got stuff to work on, sooo...

Wish me luck!

LIFE!!!

Alright!  So the mom has been very neglectful when it comes to writing about me in my blog!  I'm a little disappointed in her for not keeping up with the posts.  However, I know she is disappointed in herself.

Life has been very busy for ALL of us.  I'm going to try to catch you all up on the happenings.

My last post was in August and boy have I grown!  We'll start with September and work our way to November.

SEPTEMBER -

September The Boy and The Girl went back to school.  So now I get to walk The Girl into her classroom everyday and pick her up.
The Boys football games started so I've been able to go to a couple of those.  It can get pretty loud sometimes and usually there are "goodies" in the stands that tempt me.  I pride myself on the fact that I don't (usually) go after such things.
In September the club took an outing to the Portland International Airport.  There were all sorts of things for us to experience.  The place is huge!  We all took the Max train to the airport.
When we arrived we got off and walked to the check in kiosk.  The Girl pretended to "check in".  She was pretty disappointed not being able to check in for reals!
We made our way to the baggage claim, walked around and then made our way back to the Max train to head for home.  It was pretty cool to see the airport, I think it would be even cooler to actually get on a plane!  Below is a picture of Me and Hoshi and the other one is of Ariba, Hoshi and myself.

OCTOBER -

Was a busy month.  I've been going EVERYWHERE with my raisers.  It was a pretty busy month for The Mom so she didn't take many photos of me.  Just this one where she was messing with me.  She thought it was so funny that I didn't make one move, I froze with my jacket on my head.  I don't know why she does these things to me!
NOVEMBER -

Has been an even busier month.  In October The Mom and her family bought a house and have been working very hard to remodel it so they can move in this month.  The Grandma had surgery on her hand so I'm staying with The Mom, The Girl and The Boy for a long time.  The Mom also had to take a business trip to Seattle so I had to go stay with a puppy sitter.  The folks that puppy sat me were very kind.  They have a career change yellow lab named Dan.  He was a good guy and shared his toys with me.
We all went to a puppy raising work shop out at the Guide Dog campus.  The Mom didn't get any good pictures of the event but there were LOTS of dogs and people.

The Mom sometimes sits on the floor to work, I usually love to squish behind her and just stay put.  I LOVE touching my people!
The Girl and The Mom took me to The Mom's hair appointment.  Boy was that boring!  BUT I did get a lot of attention and learned that one of the Hair Stylist was going to the Guide Dog Luncheon at The Nines Hotel.  She loved on me a lot!
The Girl needed some Truckee time and ended up falling asleep on my bed one evening!  I'm tellin' ya, The Family has been busy!
The Boy has started wrestling so I've gone to practice with him a few times.  I'm okay with it, I don't do anything naughty BUT it's very hard for me not to get excited when the boys are doing their running drills and coming right at me!  It was actually pretty boring though!
Like I mentioned The Family is trying to move by the end of this month so the house has been a little chaotic with boxes all around.  I usually have to be right with The Mom where ever she is.  So I grab my bone and lay on her boxes until she needs them.  I'm looking forward to the new home and getting to see The Grandma again soon.  I'm headed to another puppy sitter next week while The Family finishes the house and gets moved in.

The Mom will try to do a better job at keeping the blog current.  Hopefully LIFE will slow down in the near future!

Until Next Time, Wish Me Luck!

ADIOS AUGUST!!

In my other family's home when August rolls around it signals the end of Summer and the start of FOOTBALL!!  I got to go to a couple of the practices with The Girl and The Mom.  It was hard to tell which one was my Boy out there, they all looked the same!
Practices are long so The Girl decided to work with me on some of my commands.
I love when my people sit on the ground with me.  It means I can sit on them!  The Girl was talking to me but I was tired from going to work with The Mom and sitting through Football practice, soooo....I think she talked me to sleep!
At one of our Club meetings the theme of the night was distractions.  As in, what do us pups like to get into at our house when we are free.  I don't like to discuss this type of stuff, I find it embarrassing but I guess the first step is admitting you have a problem.  So for me, at The Girls house, I likes to get socks.  But at The Grandma's house I like to get into the Barbie's!   So while The Grandma and The Girl and The Mom were putting together their items to bring to the meeting they claimed they were "testing" me.  But really I think they were just "MOCKING" me!
I've been going everywhere with my family.  I've been to Red Lobster, The Ram, Juan Colorodo's, Trader Joes, Winco, Gresham Farmer's Market several times, 1 elementary school registration and 1 middle school registration and my least favorite...Dress Barn, Banana Republic and Payless shoes (soooo boring).  The Girl was helping The Grandma find an outfit to wear to a wedding.  Ugh, I'd rather be Mocked by the Barbie's!!

The Club took an outing down to the Portland Waterfront for some socialization.  We had to walk down and up and over all sorts of different surfaces.  Some steep, some slippery and some even moved while we were walking on them.  The Girl said I did really well and The Mom and The Grandma said The Girl did very well so I think The Girl and I must make a great team!

August is just about over and it has been a fun one!  ADIOS AUGUST!

Looking forward to September!  Wish me luck!
